For over a century, Domaine des Trottières has been cultivating an exceptional terroir, ideally situated between the Coteaux du Layon and the fertile hills of Anjou, an iconic vineyard in the Loire Valley. Located in the historic commune of Thouarcé and passionately managed by the Lamotte family since 1985, Domaine des Trottières embodies viticultural excellence through its 18 wines, born from a recognized and rewarded expertise. The meticulous work and dedication invested in each vintage allow for a subtle blend of tradition, terroir, and innovation. Our 9 AOPs proudly attest to this: Anjou, Anjou Villages, Rosé de Loire, Rosé d'Anjou, Cabernet d'Anjou, Coteaux du Layon, Bonnezeaux, and Crémant de Loire.
 

The Domaine's exceptional terroir is fully expressed through the diversity of grape varieties cultivated with recognized expertise, annually rewarded in numerous competitions both in France and internationally.

Our white wines, primarily made from the Chenin grape, are mineral and elegant, and are offered in 7 distinct cuvées. Under the AOP Anjou, our dry white wines combine minerality, freshness, and finesse, whether through the simplicity of vat aging or the richness of our cuvées carefully aged in amphoras and barrels. Our Crémants de Loire, elegant and festive, offer a fine mousse and irresistible indulgence. Finally, the expression of our late-harvest Chenin, combining sweetness and aromatic richness, is revealed in our AOP Coteaux du Layon and Bonnezeaux.
 

Our rosé wines, subtly balanced between sweetness and freshness, are the ambassadors of Domaine des Trottières’ expertise, winning awards every year. The AOP Rosé de Loire, Rosé d’Anjou, and Cabernet d’Anjou are expressed through 5 cuvées, ranging from the most traditional to the most original. As pioneers of the no-low trend, we have innovated with low-alcohol cuvées for over 20 years. Gamay, Grolleau, Pineau d’Aunis, and Cabernet here form a perfect alliance of freshness and fruitiness, meeting the expectations of consumers of all generations.
 

Finally, our gravelly soils, remnants of ancient seabeds, allow the full potential of the Cabernet Franc – Cabernet Sauvignon duo to be expressed. We thus offer 5 red wines under the AOP Anjou – Anjou Villages, showcasing an impressive progression, from the fruitiest to the most expressive cuvées, aged in vats or meticulously in barrels, rev+B5ealing the full potential of our vines and our unique expertise.
